Study Compares the Costs and Impacts of Green and Gray Infrastructure

A recent study comparing the life cycle costs and environmental impacts of rain gardens and gray infrastructure in Cincinnati, OH found significant advantages to the green approach:
[Rain] Gardens were found to be the favorable option, both financially (~42% cost reduction) and environmentally (62-98% reduction in modeled impacts). Wastewater utilities may find significant life cycle cost and environmental impact reductions in implementing a rain garden plan.
