PWD Construction Seminar for Contractors Bidding on “Green” Projects
Posted on: September 03, 2014
The Philadelphia Water Department will be hosting the third in a series
of construction seminars for Contractors Bidding on “Green” Projects.
The seminars are designed to provide important information to contractors about the department’s green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) contracts. Over the next two decades, PWD will be bidding over $2 billion in construction projects to meet the city’s ambitious Green City, Clean Waters goals. Our contractors are essential partners. The seminars are “highly recommended” to all contractors that bid on GSI projects. The targeted audience for the seminars is the contractor foreman, superintendent and/or owner.
The September seminar will cover:
- Quality of Life Specs – Feedback on draft specs to be incorporated into all contracts
- ADS Presentation – Proper installation of HDPE piping & GSI Maintenance
- OEO Contract Compliance Update
