Join a Committee
Committees help guide our work in two key areas: member engagement and advocacy. Our Business Engagement and two Advocacy Committees meet monthly year round. We also have ad hoc committees, such as our Excellence in GSI Awards Planning & Nominations Committee.
These active committees play a key role in guiding and advancing our work, and are driven by our members with support from staff. Committees offer an excellent opportunity for members to play a larger role in informing the direction of the GSI Partners, as well as to connect on a deeper level with peers. More than a third of our members currently serve on a committee.
Committee members are asked to attend the monthly meetings and to come prepared; committee members should expect to spend an average of 5 hours/month outside of meetings.

- Business Engagement Committee
This committee is responsible for helping to grow the number of GSI Partners and encouraging their active participation by demonstrating the value of the GSI Partners via events, content, and resources.
- Legislative Advocacy Committee
This Committee is responsible for identifying ways to better incentivize the use of GSI.
- Administrative Advocacy Committee
This Committee is responsible for identifying ways to better facilitate the approval of GSI.
- Excellence in GSI Awards Planning & Nominations Committee (ad hoc)
This Committee is responsible for reviewing project submissions and selecting finalists and winners for this annual celebration.
