Delaware River Watershed Initiative debuts Stream Reach Assessment Tool
Posted on: March 24, 2017
The Delaware River Watershed Initiative at the Academy of Natural Science of Drexel University recently debuted the Stream Reach Assessment Tool (SRAT). SRAT integrates data sets to model pollutant loads from upstream sources and analyzes landscape features that influence its ability to produce clean water.
“The SRAT is intended to create a consistent way to compare the potential return on investment from restoration and land protection activities. The tool is intended to be combined with local knowledge and considerations about feasibility of project success as part of a comprehensive approach to vetting and adjusting existing focus areas and strategies.”
